Intermission Johannes Brahms Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68

They are between 14 and 24 years old, skilled on their instruments, and highly motivated to play in an orchestra. Since 1987, these young people have had the opportunity to do so in the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra, which is closely associated with the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra as a Junior Music Partner. It is conducted by our principal trombonist David Bruchez-Lalli. The encounter with the young percussion trio and the interpretation of Avner Dorman's new work lend the concert dynamic rhythms and lively colors. This extraordinary work is framed by well-known compositions by Mozart and Brahms, which create a harmonious connection to Dorman's work.
