Barblina Meierhans' new work is about melting processes, about the inexorability of these processes, too, as we have to expect when glaciers melt. Something similar happens in Enno Poppe's Procession; we experience a stream of sound in which each individual instrument is washed to the surface once and becomes audible as a soloist. In the two large-scale and richly orchestrated works, the magnificent acoustics in the church of St. Peter become the third dimension of the sound experience.
