Tamikrest

Tamikrest are the spiritual sons of the well-known Tuareg band Tinariwen. Their intense, almost hypnotic melodies combine guitar rock with the tradition of Tuareg blues. Tamikrest, from Mali, Niger and Algeria, met in the small town of Kidal in north-eastern Mali and came together through Ishumar Rock, the music of the Tuareg rebels. Today they say about themselves: "A desert shelters us, a language unites us, a culture unites us." Now they return from the desert to the Moods stage with their sixth studio album "Tamotaït".
